After much research and hours spent reading the various product reviews I purchased this cat flap a few months ago for my two cats, one of whom is quite a large British Shorthair. I am so glad I bought this large cat flap as there is no way he would fit through a smaller one! It took about 3 weeks before both cats got the hang of using it but, now that they do, it is brilliant. No longer do they wake me up at 3am each morning to be let out, they simply let themselves out whenever they want to. It is also very sturdy and doesn’t let in any draughts, even in the strongest of gales. This was one of my concerns, having never had a cat flap before. I only wish I bought it years ago! As it is quite sturdy, the cats have to give it a bit of a push to open it, hence it took my smaller cat longer to get the hang of but, now that he is used to it, he is fine with it. It was also easy enough to install. My brother in law fitted it with no problems. I am very pleased with this cat flap and would definitely recommend it to others.

We purchased and installed this cat flap afew months ago and I’ve left a review for a while to see how it holds up with time. Personally I’ve found it to be fantastic. We’d previously purchased a really expensive one which works by a cats microchip but before installing that we realised our cats are too fat to fit into it. So we emergency purchased this hoping for the best. We’re quite security focused so we were aiming for something sturdy. Overall we’ve been really impressed with this cat flap. It does the job, you can close it four ways like advertised. Our cats have loved the freedom. The panel is strong enough that’s it’s not really cold in the kitchen (which is something we were concerned about). Arrived on time and well packaged.Sorry the picture is a little weird, it’s from a camera we used to see at first if it was being used by the cats (as you can see it was).

I bought the first of these 7 years ago, not for cats but for dogs, and it even allows my collie cross terrier to use it, the opening really is quite sizeable. The first of these flaps lasted for 6 years and would have kept lasting, despite my terriers flying in and out of this flap countless times during the day. It was my Giant Schnauzer who finally broke it, by trying to break through it, going mental scratching on it (45 kilos of force, no wonder the poor flap broke after that). The use this flap gets in our home is insane, and it keeps lasting. Only thing is, if you want it for dogs, locking the flap might lead to it being broken, as well as that I tape my locking mechanism into open position always, as it can end being moved to locked by the dogs knocking it. With mine being taped up to always stay open, I have no issues at all.One more thing, while the flap lasts and lasts, the sort of felting/brush part to provide a wind protection, does go eventually. It gets dirty with time and then the flap will just be blown about by the wind, so either have the flap where wind is not so much of a problem, or do replace it more often, even though it isn’t broken, but just for the felt/brush part. Cats might dirty it less, but my dogs certainly do after a while. For me this flap is a miracle. My terriers crash through it with speed, day in day out, but it takes all the abuse without flinching. Love this flap.

I have two adult Maine Coon’s and the boy (biggest) can fit through it no problem. The locking mechanism is sturdy enough, but like all cat flaps you need to be careful not to be too heavy handed when locking or unlocking the flap. The flap has a very good swing and the magnet is just right – strong enough to prevent wind blowing it open and weak enough not to discourage the cats from using it.It was very easy to install once the hole was cut in the door. The template was good stiff card which made it easy to mark out the cut.My only gripe, and it didn’t knock a star off, was that the screws supplied where very cheap. One of them hardly had any thread so I replaced it with one I had. Why manufacturers try and skimp on things like this is beyond me – It can’t reduce their costs by that much but could ruin the hole you are trying to screw into – gripfill time!!!

Purchased this product as we have a large cat, my wife and I were however worried it wouldn’t fit through before receiving the product. However the dimensions and size guide was right, and our Siberian fits through no problem. Our upvc door is required us to use the tunnel which worked great. I had never cut a hole in our back door or installed a cat flap, but the instructions were easy to follow and it came with a handy template to put on the door and draw your cutting area. Fairly simple (but slightly time consuming as your have to cut a big whole in your door) installation.A nice neat finish once installed, no sharp bits that could hurt the cat, and seems nice a sturdy but easy enough for the cat to get in and out.The magnet that holds the door in place is a great addition, and the brushes round the edge stops and draft coming in. The locks that can stop the cat going in/out or both are simple and effective. Though do seem like they could break eventually so don’t force them across.Simple packing, fairly compact that can be recycled. Great product on the whole at a great price!

I installed this a couple of weeks ago with no issues. Does exactly what I’d expected. Our cats can either 1. come & go as they please, 2. be allowed back in but not out again (say late at night), 3. be allowed out but not back in again or 4. the flap can be set to not let anything in or out. The flap is big enough for our 2 large Maine Coon cats and they are loving their new found freedom – no longer have to wait for us to let them out or back in.

After 4 weeks ( yes 4 ….they are thick what can I say) my cats have finally got the hang of using this. So much so they go in and out of it when the door is open. A friend put it in for me through the bottom panel of a double glazed door. You will need a jig saw with a metal bit as the door has metal on both sides under the plastic coating on the panel but it was easy enough t to fit.Cons..every cat in the area comes in to chow down on any food still in their bowls. In fact they got the hang of it before mine did. We have also had a fox cub, a pigeon and a small dog. That could be solved with a magnetic flap and collars on the cats but mine lose collars so I didn’t buy that option. Also, of course, they bring their “road kill” in via it as offerings.Pros….they can get in and out without me constantly going to the door. We have one called Brexit cos he can’t make up his mine if he wants to be in or out. I no longer have to stand there waiting for him to decide. I don’t have to worry if am out and it rains cos they can come straight in. If next door’s dog chases them they can escape etc. My 20 year old cat can get in and out via it too.

The cat wouldn’t tell me what he thinks about this so I’ve tried to guess. Generally he looks at everything with a huge amount of disdain: his food, the kids, the TV…so I’ve come to the conclusion that this cat flap is equally as low down in his estimations. But he is a cat after all and I quite like this cat flap so it gets 5 stars. You’re welcome.

This is an outstanding cat flap. I purchased in 2014 and it’s still working flawlessly. And I have 3 cats whom often charge through it. But it’s so robust, it’s incredible. The 4 way slide tabs at the bottom are still working great. Honestly, if you want a non fuss simple 4 way cat flap. Then this is the boy for you. The screen door being clear is something my cats love. They often simply sit and stare through it to the outside word. Plus even after 3 years the clear screen door remains unscratched and perfectly clear. It’s a perfect size too. Suitable for the smallest to the largest cat. My largest cat is at 6kg and she fits through it lovely. (Btw I do have my 6kg cat on a strict diet at moment as she needs to be around the 4kg mark) To fit, it’s a simple job, it’s adjustments allows for thin or quite thick PVC Doors. My door is at say 12cm. And that’s aboutit really. An exceptional piece of kit, should you not require a more advanced feature such as ID Chip recognition, or time schedule operation. Very pleased with this. Nearly 4 years and still working a dream.

Great cat flap, has a mini draft excluder and ‘sticks’ back to its original closes position easily and not blown open by the wind.No rattling or blowing open. Our little ginger prince is as happy as Larry wondering freely in and out of the garden … we weren’t quite so happy that he showed his gratitude by carrying a live mouse in through the flap however!! Eeeeeeeeek!Easy to fit (not much swearing or huffing from the OH as he was doing it anyway!) and looks neat on the door.Very happy.
